Kristin Johnson, a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), recently put forth three suggestions regarding the oversight of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies employed in the United States’ financial markets. These proposals were presented during the Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting on May 2nd, where Johnson emphasized the need for the CFTC to evaluate the risks and impose stricter penalties associated with the incorporation of AI in financial markets.
