Germany began selling off its Bitcoin assets in mid-June. The BTCs in question were originally confiscated by the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) during a crackdown on the administrators of the privacy website Movie2k.to back in 2013. A total of 49,857 BTCs were seized during the operation. Just last month, 10,000 of these BTCs were sold off, leading to a significant decrease in the price of Bitcoin.
