A group of 24 cryptocurrency firms have come together to form a new association, all of which are officially registered with the FSC to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. This mandatory registration for cryptocurrency companies in Taiwan highlights the government’s dedication to combatting criminal activities within the cryptocurrency industry. The association is being led by Titan Cheng, the founder and CEO of BitoPro, Taiwan’s top cryptocurrency exchange. Winston Hsiao, the co-founder and chief revenue officer of XREX, will be serving as the vice-chairman of the association.
